Pack Charts, Data, and Weather on Flights

Now you can Pack right from the Flights view, ensuring you have the charts, weather, NOTAMs, and data needed for flight. Pack analyses your route to determine the data you need, then prompts you to download with a single tap. Pack also includes Icing and Turbulence map layers for Pro Plus and Performance subscribers, helping you find smoother air while in flight.

Pro Tip: Start Pack, then go back and File your flight plan while your data is downloading.

Simplify Record-Keeping with Flight Log

The Flight Log streamlines your post-flight workflow by automating common time calculations such as block, flight, and meter times. Easily compare planned performance with actual results to gauge the accuracy of ForeFlight's calculations. For Performance customers, tap into the Performance Profile and adjust the bias sliders to dial in planning accuracy.

Smarter Route Advisor

For Performance subscribers, the new Recommended Route feature (formerly AviationCloud Autoroute) gives you the best route based on your detailed aircraft performance profile and time/fuel savings, while also accounting for preferred routes, recent ATC cleared routes, and how frequently a given route is assigned. Use the recommended route for more ‘cleared as filed’ flight plans.

Closure Warnings and Expanded NOTAM Coverage

Prominent new warning banners let you know when an airport or runway is closed by NOTAM. These warnings can be updated in flight when connected to Stratus, Scout, select Garmin equipment, or other compatible ADS-B In accessories. Also, ForeFlight now provides expanded NOTAM coverage for European airports.

Temperature & Dewpoint Values in MOS

MOS forecasts in ForeFlight now provide temperature and dewpoint values, enhancing their usefulness as a supplement to official TAFs. The new temperature and dewpoint values are expressed either as single values or as ranges, indicating that conditions are expected to vary over the forecast period.

We continue to improve our desktop flight planning solution. Like in the app, the Favorite and Recent route lists are now combined under a single button, with options to edit the Favorites list and clear the Recent Route list.
