Auto-Zoom to Custom Content Setting
- Choose whether or not ForeFlight will auto-zoom into custom charts and map layers when you enable them from the layer selector.
- This setting is enabled by default to match ForeFlight’s current behavior of automatically zooming and panning to focus on custom charts and map layers each time you enable them.
- If you find this behavior disruptive to your inflight workflow, disable the new setting to prevent the map from moving as you toggle custom content layers.
- This setting does not affect the map’s behavior when you tap on custom charts or map layers in More > Custom Content to display them on the map, which will still pan and zoom to focus on the newly-enabled content.
- This setting is available in More > Settings > Layer Selector > Auto-Zoom to Custom Content.
Takeoff Trim Support in Runway Analysis
- ForeFlight’s Runway Analysis capability for jets now calculates and displays the required Takeoff Trim setting at a given %MAC for the following aircraft, with more coming soon:
- Pilatus PC-24
- Bombardier Challenger 604/605/650
- Embraer Phenom 300/300E
- You must enable the %MAC setting at the bottom of an aircraft’s Weight & Balance profile and calculate W&B results for a given flight on the Flights view to display the Takeoff Trim for that flight.
