The ForeFlight Team

Tyson Weihs - Founder, Principal Developer

I'm Tyson Weihs, a software entrepreneur and private pilot. My first venture was a Atension, Inc., a dorm oom startup with Sheridan Chambers and Dan Cornell (now principals of the fast growing security firm Denim Group) that was acquired by a public company in 1999.

I then directed software engineering at BenefitFocus.com ("BF") where flying was a part of corporate DNA. During the day I now hang out here.

Doug Moreland, a friend and co-founder of BF, attracted me to flying by handing me the controls of N205CC one fine Saturday during my first GA flight.

I am passionate about simple, high-quality software. I hope you find that ForeFlight's Preflight Intelligence™ products reflect our collective passion for style, performance and utility.

Jason Miller - Founder, Principal Developer

I'm Jason Miller, a software engineer by training and a private pilot by fascination. So far, I've earned my IFR rating and complex/high performance endorsements. I haven't decided if I should go after the commercial or tailwheel next.

Most of my flight time is in Cessna 172s and Cirrus SR22s. I keep a blog called Vectors To Final where I record my flights and keep a collection of links to other blogs and sites that I enjoy.

Krista Miller - Support and Development

Hello, I'm Krista Miller, a software engineer by training, a private pilot by training, and a mommy-in-training!

I've been working on ForeFlight Desktop Edition since its inception, and it has been a very interesting project from a software development point of view. Now that I'm using it in my own preflight planning and actually understand the utility and impact, I feel a new pride for this tool that we've created. I hope that you like it as much as I do and can integrate it into your flying routine!

Adam Houghton - Principal Developer

I'm Adam Houghton, a software developer and iPhone enthusiast. I've written software that still chugs away at a wide range of clients, from Wyndham Hotels and Radio City Music Hall to the Texas State Prison System. My latest focus is the emerging wave of iPhone development and truly interactive web sites. I recently published articles in Dr Dobbs Journal and IBM developerWorks, and frequently blog about iPhone development at AdamHoughton.com.

While I'm more likely to spend my weekends in an Air Nautique than a Cessna, I'm drawn to the ForeFlight vision of ultimate usability, exceptional utility, and intelligent mobile applications.
