"Private pilot"

I've been waiting for an app like this. For less than the cost of a single type specific laminated checklist I now have interactive checklists for all the aircraft I fly that fits in my palm. I can carry my iPhone around the plane during a preflight and click on each completed item, then mount it on a yolk mount and have it handy for each phase of operation. Fantastic value.

"Great Pilot's Checklist"

This is a great app for any pilot. I find this electronic checklist must easier to follow than the old paper version. Even better, you tweak the order or add/remove items to suit your own routine. The new night mode is a great addition.

"Outstanding flight planning tool"

As a GA pilot, this app gives me everything I need to know to make the all-important go/no-go decision. It's also tremendously valuable in planning a flight -- even though it doesn't have a flight planner built in (who would do all their flight planning on an iPhone anyway?), it's a one-stop reference for airports and their surroundings (hotels, rental cars, etc) as well as weather. Coupled with a site like AOPA's Internet Flight Planner or fltplan.com, most GA pilots will have everything they need to make detailed flight planning a pleasure.

"Great App, Great Bargain"

As both an active duty military pilot, and a 'weekend' private pilot, I have come to greatly rely on this App for both types of flying. I am able to check NOTAMS and WX just before I hop into my Apache, and access data much more quickly than digging through my pubs bag in a cramped cockpit. I have recommended this App to several friends who have purchased it, and we all give it a huge 'Thumbs Up!'.

"Excellent Application"

Excellent application, well worth the money. Being able to put in an airport ID, or just click on your recent searches, and having everything relevant downloaded automatically is great. Have successfully filed from the ramp several times. Had one minor issue and tech support was quick to respond with a simple solution. Doesn't get much better than that. Buy the app and support good software.

"Saved my weekend! :)"

I downloaded this app on Friday for my trip. I was able to keep on top of my destination's weather, weather at my home airport and all the airports in between in case we had to divert. It cut my preflight weather briefing in half and I was able to efficiently get the weather forecasts for my Saturday departure and also the satellite image! On a computer this would have taken at least 10 minutes, I would've had to bring my laptop with me and most importantly, I would have been a very rude guest constantly on my computer... the iPhone is much more polite and discreet. As a non-instrument rated pilot, it is VERY important for me to know when the weather is going to clear up and just in case, where the weather is clear in case we have an emergency and need to land somewhere in between. This app truly saved my weekend! :-D

All I can say is WOW! You guys made an incredible product. This is going to make my life so much simpler. From the ability to check weather, to a FULL AFD (not just 3 NW states I have now) to the ability to file flight plans through DUATS. Nice. Completely ignore the comments from non-pilots. This is a deal!

I *rarely* write reviews, but I felt compelled to on this one. As a GA pilot, and one that watches the weather closely, this app is absolutely indispensable, easily worth twice it's price. As another reviewer mentioned, if you doubt this, you haven't flown left seat. Period.

When I visit the airport, which is an airport community where the folks all around the airport have homes with hangers attached (grass strip), I simply camp there. This way I get a lot of solo hours in the calm evenings and daybreak morning flights.

This is where ForeFlight simply buries every other possible tool. I must run the weather app every half hour (sometimes waking up at night to check it!) watching for VFR. Since I got it, morning fog and of course wind are my two most checked features (599 lb. plane with low wing loading makes for a lot of interesting rides in the bumps). Perfect. To me, all the info I can get, WELL ORGANIZED, is exactly what ADDS to my flight experience.

So what do I like about ForeFlight? Firstly, it fits into my planning workflow really well: I usually do the initial heavy lifting on my laptop, including filing a flight plan if I'm flying IFR, and then check again on the tarmac just before engine startup. ForeFlight works really well for this last stage, where you can do a last-minute spot check or sanity check without lugging a laptop around or calling flight services. It's also great for informally checking weather, airport information, etc., for an intended flight whenever and wherever you are (a cafe, a hangar, a wireless-free (as opposed to a free wireless) FBO, an office, etc.), and for prepping approaches informally before flying when you don't have the plates handy. And it'll let you file that last-minute flight plan, as long as you have a DUATS account.
