  • Edit Custom Airports
Administrators can revise existing custom airport names, locations, and elevations by visiting Settings > Custom Airports and clicking Edit to the right of any custom airport.
  • Recently Filed Routes
Flights outside of the United States that have been filed by ForeFlight customers are shown in the Recently Filed Routes section of the Routes list when they share the same departure and destination airports as your planned flight.
  • Weight and Balance: Autoload Improvements
The Autoload feature for Weight & Balance optimizes how it assigns crew, passengers, and cargo to stations to ensure the aircraft’s center of gravity is near the middle of the forward and aft limits. No action is required on the part of the flight planner other than to review the Weight & Balance prior to flight.
  • Military Flight Bag: Time of Arrival
MFB customers can specify a time of arrival at a single waypoint along a route and Dispatch will automatically calculate the required departure time to reach the waypoint on time. To specify a Time of Arrival, open the Route Builder, click the plus button to the right of any waypoint in the list, and then select Add Point Time of Arrival.

After specifying the conditions for applying the rule, right-click at least three times within the interactive map below to define the custom shape to be avoided. You can also add a buffer of arbitrary size around the shape using the Buffer field. If you wish to apply the rule to all flights on your account, simply add the rule without defining any conditions.
  • Military Flight Bag: Plan with MTRs and ARs in Dispatch
ForeFlight MFB customers can now incorporate and file Military Training Routes and Aerial Refueling tracks as part of their flight plans in Dispatch. You can view MTRs and ARs on the flight plan map by opening the layer selector's Map Settings tab and expanding the Military Tracks dropdown under the Aeronautical header to independently toggle Aerial Refueling Tracks and Instrument, Visual, or Slow Military Training Routes. To incorporate these tracks into a flight plan, enter the Route Builder and scroll down to the list of waypoints. Click the + button to the right of the waypoint where you want to begin or end a track and click Add Adjustment, then select Insert Track from the list. You can now select the type of track to add (MTR or AR), whether to insert the track before or after the selected waypoint, and specify the track identifier. • Route Constraint: Avoid Custom Shape
Direct ForeFlight's Recommended Route to avoid a custom-defined region when avoiding whole countries or FIRs isn't enough. Select the "Avoid Custom Shape" option in the Route Constraints drop-down menu on the Route Builder page, then right-click on the map in at least three locations to place markers defining the custom shape. Continue right-clicking to extend the shape with additional corners. If you make a mistake or wish to start over, click the eraser button in the lower-left corner of the map to clear all markers. Optionally specify a buffer in nautical miles around the custom shape to ensure your route avoids it by a suitable margin.
If you want to save a given shape so you can apply it to other flight plans, copy the text in the WKT String field (formatted as "POLYGON((long lat, long lat, long lat))" with a minimum of three long/lat pairs) and paste it into the same field on other flight plans to duplicate the shape.
