    Internet Traffic Layer

Stream live global aircraft traffic directly in ForeFlight with the Internet Traffic layer. ForeFlight allows you to view airborne traffic around the globe, and ground traffic at thousands of airports worldwide, to help you gauge airport activity like active arrivals and runways, see how ATC vectors traffic around weather, or assist with planespotting on the ground. Internet Traffic is included in all ForeFlight subscription plans.

    Introducing: Scout

ForeFlight is pleased to introduce Scout, the most affordable and smallest dual-band ADS-B In receiver on the market.

This video covers Scout's essential features and provides a walkthrough of the firmware update process inside ForeFlight. For more information about Scout, visit flywithscout.com.

    iPad Setup Tips

This video covers some basic iPad settings we recommend to get the best experience from ForeFlight Mobile.

    Link an Existing Jeppesen Subscription

ForeFlight customers who already have a Jeppesen chart subscription can now activate that subscription in ForeFlight to access their charts. If you don’t have a subscription through Jeppesen and are interested in adding their charts, check out our other video on purchasing Jeppesen charts through ForeFlight.

This video also covers the activation process for multi-pilot accounts, which must be done on ForeFlight’s web application. Account managers wishing to add Jeppesen charts must purchase them through Jeppesen, not ForeFlight. To start the conversation, email foreflight@jeppesen.com.

    Logbook Aircraft Profile Helper
Complete aircraft profile information is critical to accurate flight currency reporting - ForeFlight Logbook highlights missing information to help your currencies stay on track. If you add an aircraft with missing details to a flight, a warning symbol appears in your currency detail views. Tap on it to see which aircraft need attention and to add the missing information. ForeFlight highlights the relevant fields so you can quickly resolve the issue and get your currency reporting back on track.
Logbook CFI Currency & Aircraft Details

ForeFlight Logbook now supports currency tracking for CFIs, and provides helpful at-a-glance information in the Logbook Aircraft list.

    Logbook Currency Details
Tap on any Currency Summary in ForeFlight Logbook to see detailed information about your progress towards that currency. In the Currency Detail view, the top section shows your progress towards satisfying currency as well as a short description of the FAA requirements for that currency type. Beneath that is a list of all the flights that contribute to currency, followed by a list of all the flights that do not contribute, but which fall within the currency's timeframe, such as 90 days for general VFR currency, and 6 months for IFR currency. This organization makes it easy to see how your flights affect currency, and allows you to easily track down and fix errors in flight entries that should contribute to currency.
    Logbook Detail Reports

ForeFlight now supports exporting your entire digital logbook in a traditional logbook format, which you can then print for sharing, gifting, or storing for your records. The new format is available in the Logbook Reports tab, along with the experience and progress reports. Two options are available - condensed and complete.

A common difficulty you may experience when trying to print Logbook detail reports on double-sided pages is that the text on either side of each page is flipped. This is caused by the printer’s binding settings - the default for most printers is long-edge binding, while the detail reports require that short-edge binding be used. This video demonstrates how to change this setting using Adobe Acrobat, but the process may be different based on what printer and program you use.

    Map Annotations

Take notes on the fly and mark up charts using ForeFlight’s Map Annotations feature.

    Marked Positions

Drop detailed markers along your route and view or share them after the flight using ForeFlight’s Marked Positions feature. Perfect for noting points of interest, conducting search and rescue operations, or plotting your position on oceanic flights, Marked Positions provides a highly-flexible solution for many use-cases. Marked Positions is available with ForeFlight Performance Plus plans.
