This webinar event (recorded May 2016) is an advanced ForeFlight course. Dominik walks you through both VFR and IFR features of the app from a Canadian perspective. You will learn how to use the app to its fullest from planning to inflight navigation. Pilots at any level will learn something new, however this course is beyond beginner level and is geared towards pilots who have at least some working knowledge of the app.
Ryan McBride, ForeFlight's lead product designer, walks you through the basics of ForeFlight, from choosing and buying an iPad, to navigating the different "views" in the app, to planning simple flight plans. If you're just getting started with ForeFlight, this course is for you. If you already know the basics of ForeFlight and want to explore some of the more advanced features, check out our Power Users course here: https://foreflight.com/support/video-library/watch/?v=power-users-course
All ForeFlight customers can now access international departures, arrivals, and approaches using Procedure Advisor, expanding the scope of ForeFlight’s global planning capabilities.
These global flight planning features are further enhanced by adding Jeppesen’s industry-leading charts to your ForeFlight account. Check out our other videos on purchasing Jeppesen charts through ForeFlight and linking an existing Jeppesen account to learn more.
This is part two of our Performance video series, which gives an overview of the new “Flights” view and walks through the first step of planning a new flight in the Flights view. These features are available with ForeFlight’s Performance Plus plan, which you can purchase at foreflight.com/pricing.
This is part five of our Performance video series, which looks at the Weight Verification table for ensuring total aircraft weight remains within structural weight limits, and some common errors that you might see while planning with the Flights view. These features are available with ForeFlight’s Performance Plus plan, which you can purchase at foreflight.com/pricing.
Ryan McBride, ForeFlight's lead product designer, walks you through some of the more advanced features in ForeFlight, including aircraft profile setup, route planning and inflight tools, filing and briefing, useful weather products, and more. If you already know the basics of using the app and want to take it to the next level, this course is for you. A new section in the Flights view planning form allows you to select an FBO at your destination airport, making helpful functions and information easily accessible while planning and viewing your flight. The Destination Services tab opens the familiar ForeFlight Directory list where you can compare all the FBOs at an airport and view additional details like services, photos, comments, and fuel prices. Once you select an FBO, new buttons appear on the planning form to call or email the FBO, find its location in the Apple Maps app, or view its details.
ForeFlight also remembers your selection at every airport where you choose an FBO and automatically selects the same FBO the next time you plan a flight to that airport, saving you time and making useful functions quickly accessible.
